Alex Zhang is an Investment Manager at Climate Transition Capital. She has over nine years of work experience in sustainability and renewable energy, with experience across M&A advisory, fundraising, infrastructure investment, asset management, and start-up.
Alex was previously an investment manager at SIM Finance, a London and Rio de Janeiro-based impact investment firm, raising finance and investing in sustainable agriculture and circular economy. She was involved in the construction of the Responsible Commodities Facility, a $1 billion green bonds for sustainable soy and corn production in Brazil. Prior to that Alex spent three years at the Green Investment Bank Offshore Wind Fund as an investment associate. The fund was Europe’s largest renewable energy fund upon close with £1.1 billion asset under management, and the capital was raised and fully invested in just over 2 years. As an early team member, She has been involved in all aspects of the fund, from running the financial analysis and due diligence for asset acquisitions to managing the offshore wind farms. Alex started her career as a Power & Utilities M&A and Financial Sponsor Coverage analyst at Societe Generale, where she advised on several renewable energy M&A transactions.
Alex holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics with Statistics for Finance from Imperial College London.
