Alanna was previously Corporate Counsel at Forsa Energy (a Riverstone portfolio company), where she was responsible for the legal aspects of the group’s corporate and M&A activities, compliance and corporate governance function. Alanna’s responsibilities included managing Forsa’s divestment of its onshore wind business and supporting the divestment of its pumped hydro storage business.

Prior to that she spent three years with Velocita Energy, as Deputy Group Legal Counsel, advising internal stakeholders on a broad range of general corporate and commercial contract matters, including the execution of M&A and joint venture transactions both in the UK and overseas, group reorganisations and company secretarial and compliance function.  She then became then Senior Legal Counsel at Envision Energy following its acquisition of Velocita. At Envision Alanna was sole legal counsel for its international business outside Asia, including managing the strategic acquisition of a majority stake in a Formula E racing team, Envision Virgin Racing, its follow-on investment in German battery storage company Sonnen and a number of divestments of wind projects in France and Mexico.

Alanna began her a career as a solicitor at Morton Fraser and then Burness Paull, where she advised on a range of corporate and commercial matters, including M&A transactions, joint ventures and debt and equity investments, developing expertise in the renewable energy sector.

She holds an LLB (Hons), University of Glasgow and Diploma in Legal Practice, Glasgow Graduate School of Law. She qualified as a solicitor in Scotland in 2010.
